Random collection of themed looks

So this is just a post containing pics of random "inspired by something" -looks.
I can't really remember what I used where anymore, sorry about that.

But anyway, first the oldest, I wanted to do a bit different mermaid look, something a bit inspired by the "damned sailors of the Flying Dutchman (?)2 from Pirates of the Caribbean, where the men are part of the ship. I wanted to do the look where the I'd be part of the ocean. Or something. I don't know :D Not my favorite looks anyway:

Lashes from kkcenterHK

I read Gone with the Wind again, and I just had to make yet another Scarlett inspired look:

This was some weird red riding hood inspired, nothing special:

Then I tried a geisha inspired look, I loved the wig-thingie I managed to make :D There actually to wigs, million bobby pins and other stuff like feathers and flowers and stuff:

Ropecon was also again, like every year, and here's my costume:
Awkward pose:
Yesyes, fat fat :P
The makeup, brown and turquoise:

Then the couple looks I've done for others:

This one is weird. My inspiration came from circus and france, and the result was just weird :D

Lashes again from kkcenterHK

Then my favorite theme again, burlesque \o/:
Lashes again from kkcenterHK
And totally failed "egyptian look". The pics are ok, but I don't like the makeup at all:

So there.

Jangsara goes Bratz!

So, Makeup Geek held a Bratz doll -inspired weekly challenge a while back, and even if I don't like the dolls at all (I think they are way too sexy for children with their heavy makeup, blowjob lips and tiny miniskirts), I wanted to see what I can create from it.

My first attempt was one of the "bimbos", huge lips, non-blended shadows, glitter (it doesn't show in the pics though) ridiculous lashes and all.
Here's my bimbo bratz:

Then I went to the other side of the scale, and decided to do a goth Bratz look!
Again, I overdid it on purpose, but I'd rather have this kinda doll on my shelf than the bimbo one ;D

But if we would be totally true to the whole bratz thing, I would have even huger lips, bigger eyes, and no nose at all.
This is after some photoshopping:

After seeing that, I'm REALLY glad I look like a human. I think I'll have nightmares from those. O_o

Review: Illamasqua Masquara

Hola!

Review time! Illamasqua's new mascara:

If the eyes are the windows of the soul, our new Masquara in Raven (midnight black) reveals a heart of darkness with a new formula that lengthens, defines and dramatises lashes to extremes.
The happy union of our unique brush design and new smudge proof formula ensures lashes can last the whole night through.

Just look at the pictures released from the Theatre of the Nameless -collection:

*DROOOOOOL*
I'm already inspired! You guessed it, I'm gonna do my own version of this at some point!
I really love Illamasqua, because they are not afraid when they do their look and collections. No matter how weird it sounds or looks, they do it!

But this post was is supposed to be Illamasqua's new mascara which is released in Theatre of the Nameless -collection, Masquara (I love the name, though my suggestion was Lashquara ;D)
The package is pure Illamasqua. Black, nothing too fancy, but classy and nice:

As far as know, it's only available in one color, and that Raven. What, raven isn't color? Oh well, ravens are black, and so is this:

The brush is quite large, non-silicon bristles. Lately I've preferred the silicon ones, but this is the exception that makes the rule :D

How it is?
I've tried dozens (maybe over hundred) different mascaras over time, and only few has impressed me. This is SO one of them!
It actually lengthens, defines and dramatises lashes to extremes.
Well, maybe not to extremes, but what mascara really would do that? You really can't have false lash look if you don't own lashes that look like falsies.

But this works like a miracle with my lashes:

It doesn't clump, it isn't messy, it's stays well (it's not waterproof, but I'd say it's quite weatherproof, and really sweatingproof too :D), applies easily.. I love it.

  • Illamasqua Masquara is available on their own website tomorrow (9/2): Masquara
  • Theatre of the Nameless collection available here (2/9)

Who's that bimbo?

It's-a-me, Jangsara! :P

Mainly I wanted to test out if I could do the "scene style" (correct me if I'm wrong here :D) hairdo with my red wig.
And since I thought I did quite nicely with the wig, I had to do the makeup too ;P

And I know, I over did the eyebrows. They were supposed to be heavy, but maybe not THAT heavy.
But hey, I say it's lack of applying makeup, after summer I've got sloppy! :D

UDPP as a base
NYX Jumbo pencil Milk over whole lid
Sugarpill Tako on whole lid + highlight
Sugarpill Poison Plum, Flamepoint & Buttercupcake on crease
Sugarpill Bulletproof on lower lashline

Lips are mix of Make Up Store Hot Pink liner and NYX Dollypink megashine lipgloss

Still alive (and a GIVEAWAY!)

.. I guess that's the most used title after the writer has been away for a while. :P

First I have to apologize that I've been  "gone" so long. I kinda found social life, enjoyed summer and friends, forgot to "paint my face" (mostly because it was too hot to even think about heavy makeup), fell in love with neutral shades.

You know the feeling, when you have crossed the line, and you feel almost impossible to continue, because you're so ashamed that you haven't done anything earlier? I have that feeling.
I really don't know what could I post that would make this up for all of you.
Maybe I'm taking too much stress of this, but that's just the way I roll ;P

I haven't forgotten you, and I promise to try my best to start updating my blog more often from now on.
I finally found my long-lost inspiration to makeup, and I have a couple of step-by-step tutorials ready, as well as reviews and swatches too.

Then something fun as an apology from me;
