Tutorial: Rainbow li(me cri)m/ner

I got my Lime Crime China Doll palette yesterday, and I thought I'd share a look done with it before I do the review. At some point I saw Bows and curtseys epic rainbow liner look, and I thought to do my own, using only Lime Crime palette.
Because I'm a small rebel, I paired the shadows with Sugarpill Whisper rainbow lashes.

Even though it's really simple I'll still share a picture tutorial:

First apply primer:

I used the same brush all the time, it's old MSCHIC's brush, but it's look to be really similar with MAC 231 brush, so if you have it, or dupe of it, use it :D Or what ever you find best for small details.
Annyways, I took the red (Fly Dragon Fly) from the palette, and applied it to my inner upper lashline:

Then I took the yellow (Goldfish) and applied it a hint over the red (to make the transition look nice), and then on it's own about to the middle of the lid:

Then the teal one (Jade-o-Lade), again smudged it a bit with yellow one:

Then the light blue (Parasol), still the same procedure, mix it with the previous color...:

And finally I used the black (Lotus Noir) to create a wing to the outer corner:

Tadah, done!

Then I applied mascara:

And as a last step I added Sugarpill's Whisper individual rainbow lashes, red ones where there was red shadow, yellow ones where there was yellow and so on. I think it looks quite sweet:

Later at night I did it a bit over the top with Sugarpill shadows, I used all the pressed colors on upper lid and most of the chromalusts on lower lashline :D
I know it's a bit too much, but I still wanted to share it :)

And don't worry, the review of the Lime Crime palette is coming ASAP. And I do mean review of the palette, not the company.  ;)

  2. But how do you get the liner (and the Goldilux on the brows) to look so pigmented and have it stick without any fallout? I've used just water in the past for this sort of thing with some MAC shadow. You didn't mention using anything.

    1. Sticky base, ie. eyelid primer (in case of the eyeshadows on lid) and "golden" eyepencil over brow before applying Sugarpill's Goldilux.
I rarely get any fallout, I kinda pat the shadow on place before blending or anything. :)

    1. I assume you mean the golden ones? It's just some cheap, brandless "golden" eyepencil, and Sugarpill Goldilux mixed with water on top :)

  12. Both of those looks are GORGEOUS! I love doing rainbow liner, although I haven't done it in a while. It's lots of fun! Those lashes were definitely a good idea... I'd wondered how you got the liner to line up so perfectly with the lashes until I saw they were individuals!

  13. Today on Limecrime's tumblr, she made a post claiming you did the second eye creation using Limecrime, not Sugarpill. You may want to have a talk with her since one again she is providing false information to see her products.... http://limecrime.tumblr.com/

  14. Did Lime Crime ask permission to use a quote and photo from this post on their ad? The ad is here:

    1. No, they didn't ask permission.

But since I received the palette for free for review (promotional) purpose, AND included my blog's address, I'm fine with it.
