Some of you may have gotten mail from Illamasqua, about the Sophie-I technique, which is sorta related to Illamasqua's pencil technique, skin sketching.
Anyway, this look is made to support S.O.P.H.I.E. Lancaster Foundation (if you're not familiar with it yet, go check it out. I think it's worth watching) and the look is created by the amazing Alex Box, and it actually comes with a picture tutorial!
I wanted to redo the look, so I took some tips from the tutorial, and did some things to make it more mine, but I included both my and Illamasqua's pics for you.
Here we go:
I started with priming my eye (I used Benefit Stay, Don't Stray):
Then I applied Illamasqua Cream Pigment Dab on whole lid:
This is what Illamasqua says about the first steps:
Then I shaped the line with black (sharp) pencil:
I took a bit of black shadow (Illamasqua Zeitgeist) and smudged the line to be thicker:
Next we blend, blend, blend:
Then the liner:
I then added some shimmer to lid with Illamasqua Pure Pigment Breathe:
As falsies I chose Marlliss #157 lashes:
Saw this last night on their blog and tried it today. Very quick and easy to do! Love your take on it.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love a cut crease look - I've only tried it once myself, and it didn't turn out well, but I didn't have clear instructions. I'm going to try it again & follow your/Illamasqua's tutorial, hopefully it will go better!
