I've been a fan of the Crow since I was twelve.
Can't exactly remember which came first for me, movie or graphic novel, but I believe it was the graphic novel by James O'Barr. Anyway, I love them both equally.

 I have my own (very worn and loved) copy of the graphic novel, gotten as a present from my mom for my 13th birthday. One of the few things I have left of my mom, she died later that year:

Like said, I also love the movie. I love Brandon Lee's performance as Eric Draven, I think Brandon was the Heath Ledger of his time, in so many ways.

Anyway, since this still is a makeup blog, let's get back to makeup.

 

 I decided to do mash-up of both movie and graphic novel looks, include the scar etc.
Unfortunately I don't own a good wig for the look, so basic black wig it was:

PS. I'm not gonna talk about the "sequels" or the new movie they are making. There's only one Crow, and that's Brandon Lee.

What's up?

I've been waiting a good subject to post about, you know, like coming back with a bang, but anything hasn't really happened.

But I've been slowly starting to do makeup looks again (other than boring neutral everyday looks), and I thought I'd share some of them here too. They have been already been in my facebook page and instagram, but here are some of them again anyway:

Recently Illamasqua released a new collection, called Paranormal.

I came across their amazing promotional photo, and wanted to do my own version of it:

Mainly Illamasqua products used, Complement palette, Kontrol lipstick and Boost instense lipgloss.

 Then I wanted to try the Kim Kardashian makeup, mainly the skin-thing she does, and managed to do this:

I used a ton of products, something like 5 shades darker foundation that I normally use, white under my eyes etc. Not really your light everyday look -_-

As opposite to huge amount of makeup, I added some fake freckles to myself and went all "natural redhead": :D

 Then something different again, I went all R.
You know, from Warm Bodies? (Still haven't seen it though.)

Anyway, I wasn't pretty:

I was also doing makeup at the photoshoots, it made me realise how much I really suck at general photoshoot looks. I tend to over-do everything horribly. Well, now I know better.

Look for Fun: Steam punk

I bought myself ultra cool goggles today, and I wanted to do a quick look to show them!

I didn't take any photos of my eyes, but the look was pretty similar to the black & gold Emma Watson look I did, just more blending, more black, MAC Old Gold instead of Goldilux and a hint of brown to soften the look. 

Lips are Lime Crime Chinchilla .

Tears and Pearls (and fudge!)

Hello!

It's been so hot in here, that I really haven't even used makeup lately.
Can you believe, I even stopped using foundation, because it would melt away anyway :P
Sama thing with eyeshadows, I've been using only neutrals, if any.
My makeup has pretty much have been just mascara and defined brows :P

And it's also been too hot to even play with makeup, but I managed to do this pearl look while back:

 Then yesterday I watched Britain's Next Top Model, and there was a photoshoot against domestic violence.
It inspired me to do my own pictures:

 No Jangsaras were harmed during the shoot

 (I used MUFE flashcolors to create the black eye, then I sprayed some water to my eye to make my makeup look messed and some fake blood coming from the nose. )

That's about all I have done with makeup lately :S
I also managed to break my computer's graphic card (with Alice - Madness Returns <3), so I'm having a bit hard time to go through and editing my photos, which really isn't helping with my makeup block :P

But as a cheer up, I found an awesome company called British Fudge Company:

Hello again everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't really updated my blog recently, I've had so much stuff happening, like my birthday:

Cake wasn't a lie

I'll also been a bit ill, and I've slept a lot.

I also took part to a Make Up For Ever's contest, where the goal was to do a makeup inspired bt Within Temptation's new The Unforgiven album. (I mentioned it in this post, where you can find the look that I did) To my HUGE surprise I was chosen as one of the three finalists!
All of us finalist had to re-do the makeup in front of the judges (to make sure we hadn't used photoshop/we really had done the looks ourselves), and then the pictures of our looks were sent to Within Temptation's lead singer Sharon den Adel, who will choose the winner in the next couple of days.
I did good job with my look, I got quite a lot of compliments (and some critique, but nothing really bad), and I also took some photos of the event BUT I forgot my camera to the contest place at MUFE. Hooray for me!
So you'll have to wait for my pics a bit longer (I hope I'll be able to tell who won, and what place did I get), but here's a pic of the three best looks:

On the left there's Jonna's bullethole look, in the middle my look, and on the right amazing shatered mirror look (I unfortunately didn't catch the name of the makeup artist).
One of us will win a trip to Paris, and others get MUFE stuff and Within Temptation stuff!
But the biggest prize for me was to get to the finals. There was over 70 participants, and my works was one of the best three. I was also told, that my look was the favourite of the radiostation's workers, who were one part of the judges.
So yay for me! :D

But like I said, I'll get back to this subject when I'll get my own camera and know the winner etc :)
