Fawn

Awhile back I was looking through some cosplay galleries, and saw some cool fawn cosplays.
I thought it looked extremely cool, and decided to try it myself too:

Here you can see the makeup better:
I used
- Elite Paris primer
- MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation
- Maybelline FitMe foundation (lightest shade)
- MUFE Mat Bronze
- Illamasqua Vernau eyeshadow
- Sugarpill Tako eyeshadow
- Black gel liner
- Black pencil
- NYX Circe lipstick
- Sugarpill Supreme lashes

I played with my PicsArt a bit and added some bokeh:

One more pic, without excessive use of photoshop:

Ps. The light blue amazingly sweet polish on my nails is MAC's Bleu Velvet from Baking Beauties collection:
Yummy summer polish, been using it a whole week now everyday <3 p="">

What's up?

I've been waiting a good subject to post about, you know, like coming back with a bang, but anything hasn't really happened.

But I've been slowly starting to do makeup looks again (other than boring neutral everyday looks), and I thought I'd share some of them here too. They have been already been in my facebook page and instagram, but here are some of them again anyway:

Recently Illamasqua released a new collection, called Paranormal.

I came across their amazing promotional photo, and wanted to do my own version of it:

Mainly Illamasqua products used, Complement palette, Kontrol lipstick and Boost instense lipgloss.

Then I wanted to try the Kim Kardashian makeup, mainly the skin-thing she does, and managed to do this:

I used a ton of products, something like 5 shades darker foundation that I normally use, white under my eyes etc. Not really your light everyday look -_-

As opposite to huge amount of makeup, I added some fake freckles to myself and went all "natural redhead": :D

Then something different again, I went all R.
You know, from Warm Bodies? (Still haven't seen it though.)

Anyway, I wasn't pretty:

Then one of my favourite characters, Magenta from Rocky Horror Picture Show:

I was also doing makeup at the photoshoots, it made me realise how much I really suck at general photoshoot looks. I tend to over-do everything horribly. Well, now I know better.

For a moment, I also was Death:

Finally, I did a Borderlands look for my husband:

And last a test makeup for Mad Moxxi look from Borderlands:

So there.

Still Alive

I'm still here.

As you may have noticed, I haven't posted anything in several months, and I'm truly sorry that I disappeared without any explanation or anything.

I didn't feel like applying bright/ interesting makeup and as I didn't do anything cool/pretty, I didn't have anything to share or write about.

Most of my daily looks since November have been either neutrals or basic smokey eyes. Some days even just plain mascara, and nothing else. My inspiration and will to apply makeup was totally gone.
I used makeup because I had to, not because I wanted to.

On top of all this, my camera started to act weird. Pics were weirdly toned, out of focus, too bright/too dark (despite the settings). So if I happened to get an inspiration, I didn't get a decent photo of the look.

During January I had to get myself a new phone, and my new phone has a pretty good camera (not as good as D-SLR of course, but good for a phone camera), and I have started slowly doing and photographing my looks again:

So there's a light at the end of the tunnel at the moment, as for my big surprise I have also gotten good photos with my D-SLR again, so yay :)

If you're interested of what I've been doing lately (with makeup I mean), go check out my facebook fanpage or my instagram.
I did peeking Magaman look...

And bright Sugarpill look....

..and simple Illamasqua inspired Valentines look...

.. pop art look inspired by Makeup Geek's Weekly Challenge

... and glittery "anti-valentine's day" look.

Halloween tutorial: Illamasqueyes

This is the look #3 from Illamasqua's Halloween facecharts:

Again I started with mixing some white to my foundation to create pale face:

Then I started to shape the eyeshadows by using a thin brush and black gel liner (pencil will do fine too):

When I had the desired shape, I applied matte black shadow to whole lid:

Then I applied Illamasqua's Bedaub Cream Pigment above the black shape (you can also use any light green cream product, or just white to make the color pop):

Over the cream pigment I applied Sugarpill's Midori shadow:

Then more Sugarpill, After party to the lower outer corner, below the black wing:

Then some black, make quite heavy line to your lower lashline with black, also make a wing to the inner corner too:

And add Sugarpill Afterparty below the inner wing too:

Looks quite scary :D

Then line your waterline with black:

Apply mascara, and false lashes to the lower lashline (mine are Faux Black Sparkle) (I also used falsies to the upper lashline, brandless cheap lashes):

Still scary!

Then I used lash glue to attach large black rhinestones:

And to make it a bit less scary looking, I added myself eyebrows with blue eyeliner:

I finishes the look with Illamasqua Disciple lipstick and a hint of Illamasqua liquid metal Surge on the lips:

Halloween tutorial: Pink Tears

On my facebook page I asked which of Illamasqua Halloween facechart looks I should create:

Most votes went to look #3 (it's ready and done, but I'll post this one first), but in second place came look #4:

I was asked to do to the look in pink color instead of blood red, and so I did :D
Here's how to do it:

Start with lighter foundation, if you want. I again mixed some white Grimas grease paint with my foundation:

Then the eyes.
Prime your lid and apply white shadow to your lid and highlight (ignore my ugly bushy brows :D):

Then use grey shadow to shape the lid. Best is to use both lighter and darker gray to create depth:

Next I used some glitter from Eye Kandy cosmetics (Marshmellow Sugar & Confetti) all over the lid:

Then I added some gray to my lower lashline also:

Then the colored brows.
You can use lip pencil, eyeliner, eyeshadow, what ever you wish to create red/pink brows. I used red and pink from MUFE Flash palette:

Then the winged black liner.
Again you can use pencil, gel liner or liquid liner to create a quite massive wing:

Next the white liner above the black one, good white liners are Illamasqua's Scribe and Lime Crime's Lunar Sea:

Then the tears.
There's easy way (non-3D) or a bit harder way (3D).

You can just draw then with pink/red pencil/liner/shadow/whatever, or you can use pink/red lipgloss to create them, or you can do them the extremely hard way like I did :D :

First you draw the tears with the way you prefer, then apply lash glue (or liquid latex/ 3D gel or similar) over the "tears". Let it dry so it's clear. You can also try to mix some color to glue/latex/gel, so you don't need to draw the tears first:

I decided to add some lipgloss (Illamasqua Petulant) over the dried glue to really enhance the effect (warning, lipgloss is quite messy, so you need to be careful that you don't smudge it):

Then I used the same lipgloss on my lips:

Finally I added a wig, and the look was done:
