Tutorial: Steampunk

(I'm sorry I haven't updated in ages, but here's a tutorial for you guys!)

  • TFSI primer
  • MAC Old Gold
  • MAC Heritage Rouge
  • MAC Dark Soul
  • MAC Melon
  • MAC Vanilla
  • Palladio eyeliner Bronze
  • MAC Blitz&Glitz fluidline
  • Mascara

Start with priming your lid with your favourite eye primer:

Apply MAC Old Gold pigment to inner half of the lid:

Then apply HeritageRouge to outer corner, and to crease:

Darken the crease a bit with black shadow, such as MAC Dark Soul, MAC Carbon etc:

Take your blending brush and some MAC Melon, and blend the edges away:

Then apply Vanilla to inner corner and to highlight:

Apply dark shadow to outer half of lower lashline :

Then line your eye with Bronze liner, both upper lashline and lower lashline:

Then line your waterline with black liner (I used MAC Blitz & Glitz fluidline):

Then add mascara:

And the look is done:

Add some gears and that kind of stuff, and get ready to party:

The "gears" are from old wall clock, they are originally white and plastic, but I used some nailpolish and MAC Old Gold pigment to make them look better. And they are attached with lash glue.

Beauty, beast and Unforgiven

Hola!

I've had a crazy last couple of days :P

I'll start with the purple rihinestone makeup I did couple days ago:

This look was mainly done, because I wanted to show the nails I did:
There fimo flowers, roses made out of cernit, glitter, rhinestones... <3

Approximately a year ago I bought some feathers, and now I FINALLY made a look using them.
This time I cut them in the wanted lenght,  and attached them with lash glue around my eye.
My inspiration was owls, and here's the result:

(Eye is photoshopped, not sclera lens.)

I also took part to a contest, where the goal was to do a makeup inspired bt Within Temptation's new The Unforgiven album.
I went the "easy way", and took my inspiration straight from the art of the album's cover:

Well, it could have gone better. Pictures are great, model is great, but makeup isn't that good. But well, I'm not a huge fan of Within Temptation :P
Photos by Petra Lönnqvist, model Iiris

Model and photographer wanted to get their makeup done for the night, so I also took couple pics about girls preparing for the night out:

And a picture I took of Iiris:

I guess I have point out that the best place for animal fur is on animal itself.
So please, leave the "fur is murder" comments away, I know it, I agree it, the fur collar isn't mine, and I didn't force the model to wear it. It was just there, and I took picture of Iiris with the collar.
Treat it just as a picture, please.

Finally, sneak peek of coming tutorial:

Tutorial: Peacocktail

One more peacock look, I guess this is my favourite:

Products used:
  • Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
  • Fyrinnae Hypercool
  • Ben Nye Mermaid Green
  • MAC The Family Crest
  • MAC Heritage Rouge
  • MAC Cocomotion
  • Ben Nye Iced Gold
  • MAC Black Line Pearlglide liner
  • Mascara

Prime your eye with Pixie Epoxy:

Apply Hypercool all the way to the middle of the lid (I would suggest a dupe of this, by so far I haven't found anything even close to Hypercool):

Then apply Ben Nye Mermaid Green to inner corner (Basicly any light green eyeshadow will do):

Then apply MAC The Family crest to crease (again, you can use whatever dark/black shadow with green/brown/blue colored glitter in it):

Then MAC Heritage Rouge above The Family Crest (or some metallic brown/bronze shadow):

Blend Heritage Rouge with MAC Cocomotion pigment (or some similar light, metallic brownish shadow):

Apply highlighter (in my case Ben Nye Iced Gold) so that it also blends Cocomotion :

Then line your lower lashline with Fyrinnae Hypercool:

Continue the bonze/copper/brown color to lower outer corner (I mixed Heritage Rouge and Cocomotion):

Then line your upper lashline, I chose MAC Black Line pearlglide liner because of the glitter, but you can easily use black liner or some glittery eyeshadow to lining if you wish:

Then I lined my waterline with MUFE aqua pencil 12L (soory for the horrible pic :D:D):

Apply mascara:

and the look is done!

If you want to add some extra glam to the look, you can gently apply MAC Reflects Transparent Teal (or similar) to oomph the look even more :D
