Fawn

Awhile back I was looking through some cosplay galleries, and saw some cool fawn cosplays.
I thought it looked extremely cool, and decided to try it myself too:

Here you can see the makeup better:
I used
- Elite Paris primer
- MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation
- Maybelline FitMe foundation (lightest shade)
- MUFE Mat Bronze
- Illamasqua Vernau eyeshadow
- Sugarpill Tako eyeshadow
- Black gel liner
- Black pencil
- NYX Circe lipstick
- Sugarpill Supreme lashes

I played with my PicsArt a bit and added some bokeh:

One more pic, without excessive use of photoshop:

Ps. The light blue amazingly sweet polish on my nails is MAC's Bleu Velvet from Baking Beauties collection:
Yummy summer polish, been using it a whole week now everyday <3 p="">

Beast is blue.

Hank "Beast" McCoy is a character from Marvel universe.
He seems to look different in every single strip, but basically he is always furry and blue.

Kelsey Grammer from X-Men: The Last Stand
Some of Beast's appearances
This was my main inspiration for this look.

So my poor husband ended up as my model, and it was time to get blue!

When I started making the look I really had no idea what I was doing, as you can see from the pictures:

But I was quite happy with the result, the sideburns really made a difference!
(I made the sideburns from furry legwarmers, just cut two pieces off them and slapped them to my husbands face using some lash glue :P)

What else did I use besides legwarmers? MUFE 12 Flashcolor palette, MUG black eyeshadow, Sugarpill Velocity, MAC Blue Charge Zoom Lash mascara (quite perfect for turning the beard blue btw!) and white pencil.

Yes, quite heavily photoshopped, including the eyes.

Funny, if you change the pic to black&white, he kinda looks like Wolverine too ;D

Everyday favorites!

Hello!

I though I'd make a post about the products I use the most.
I didn't include primers and foundation, because I change them almost daily, but most of these products listed here are in my everyday use.

Here we go, first one is

Perfect shade for almost any day-look. Makes cheeks look soft, natural and healthy. Amazingly pigmented, so even if used daily, it'll last a long time, since you only need a hint of it.
As a bonus it smells really good :D

Next is my favorite brush, not sure if I could bland well without this:

Perfect brush for blending. I also have the blending brushes from Sigma's "normal" collection, but they're not nearly as good as this one. This just has it all.

I rarely go out without eyeliner, and my favorite ones are the gel liners:

Joe Blasco eyeliner & MAC Blacktrack fluidline and Joe Blasco Ultra UEM brush:

Joe Blasco's gel liner is the blackest gel liner I've ever seen, and it's almost perfect for waterline. It's a bit greasy though, so you need to have a good primer if you're gonna use it on upper lashline.
MAC Blacktrack is also almost perfect, and as a bonus it dries on lid, unlike the Blasco one, so it can be easily used on upperlashline too. And it lasts, and lasts and lasts... :D
I got the brush I originally got with the Blasco's liner, and it instantly came my favorite eyeliner brush. It's slighly angled, and TINY. You can make both heavy lines, and also the most thinnest lines with this brush.

I know I'm known for my colorful extreme looks, but in "real life" I often use neutral colors. This summer I think I've used purple once, but otherwise just neutrals. And best neutrals are:

My favorite colors are: Beaches & Cream, Bada Bing, Purely Naked, Latte, Mocha and Cocoa Bear and Vanilla Bean as a highlighter.
I usually apply light color to lid,  darker shadow to crease, and again light color to highlight.
If I want really natural look, I use Beaches & Cream to lid and Purely Naked to crease, and if I want to get something neutral but classic, I use Beaches & Cream to lid, Bada Bing to crease, blend them with Mocha, and apply Vanilla Beam to highlight.
For perfect smokey eye I use Bada Bing on lid, blended upwards with Latte.

There's one thing I wouldn't go out without, and that's my brows.
I have really light brows, and without any color in them, I look like I wouldn't have any brows at all, so coloring them is really crucial to me. And fortunately I have a perfect solution for them:

This is the kit that came with the brow stencils, but I haven't really used them. What I use daily, is the brush and mix of both brow shadows. For me the mix of colors is perfects, and I really love the brush that came with the kit, it's sturdy and soft and you can make really thin lines with it if you want.

Here's a few example looks done with the products mentioned in this post:

Review & Swatches: MAC Hey Sailor!

A while ago MAC launched their summer collection, called Hey Sailor! I was lucky enough to receive some pieces from the collection:

So the items I got were:
  • Emerald Sea Power Point Eye Pencil
  • Jaunty eyeshadow
  • Feeling Fresh eyeshadow
  • Fleet Fast Powder Blush
  • Riviera Life Lipglass

Let's start with the eyeshadows:

Feeling Fresh:
Feeling Fresh is a truly fresh color, bright green with a fair amount of shimmer. I think it's pigmented and it blends well, and it's great color for bright looks. Again, my red hair doesn't really work with greens right now, so haven't loved this baby as much as it deserves. :P

Jaunty:
I. Love. Jaunty.
Really. This is the ultimate everyday color for me. If I don't feel like putting much makeup, just a hint of this with liner and mascara and I'm ready!
It's pearly, beautifully shimmery light beige, not too shimmery or glittery, but glowing. And it's pigmented, and a dream to apply and blend.

Emerald Sea Powerpoint pencil:

Emerald Sea is almost matte green eyepencil, kinda dirty green. It's not the most pigmented pencil I've seen, but you can get nice smooth and soft green lines for a summer look with this. This did last nicely on my upper and lower lashline, but faded in few hours from waterline, and it was quite a pain to apply evenly to waterline.

Here's a super quick look with the shadows and pencil:

Fleet Fast:
Fleet Fast is a bit dirty pink with tiniest peachy golden shimmer, and it has actually become one of my "to-go" blushes. It's extremely pigmented (like most of the MAC blushes I have) and I have be careful not to get clown cheeks with it, but if used lightly it gives natural look.

Swatches:

Riviera Life:

Riviera Life is bright orange semi-opaque lipgloss with some gold shimmer/sparkles. I love the scent of MAC lip products and this is no exception. Unfortunately I never learned how to use oranges (or warm reds) so I haven't really used it, but when swatched it felt quite lasting, not too runny or too sticky.
